All OLANG boots are pre-treated during manufacturing and require minimal upkeep. Regular, proper care ensures your boots retain their look and performance throughout the winter:
- Routine Cleaning: Wipe down with a soft, damp cloth to remove surface dirt, salt, and snow residue. Do not use harsh soaps or detergents.
- Drying: Always let your boots air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources (radiators, heated floors, hair dryers).
- Protective Sprays: Ensure any protector spray is suitable for hydro-suede leather, and test on a small, discreet area before applying all over.
- End-of-Season Care: Use a soft-bristle brush to remove small stones, dirt, or salt trapped in the sole treads before storing in a cool, dry place.
IMPORTANT: Never use any product containing silicone. Silicone strips the protective coating from the leather and can weaken the outsole adhesives, compromising waterproofing and durability.
