All OLANG boots are pre-treated during production and need minimal maintenance. Regular care ensures the leather stays supple and extends the longevity of your boots:
- Routine Cleaning: Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth to remove surface dirt, slush, and salt residues. Never use harsh soaps or chemical cleaners.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources (radiators, baseboard heaters, radiant heated floors, hair dryers).
- Protective Sprays: Ensure any care spray is compatible with full-grain leather and suede, and always test on a discreet area before full application.
- End-of-Season Care: Use a soft-bristle brush to remove dirt, dried salt, and pebbles caught in the tread and cleat hinges before storing in a dry environment.
IMPORTANT: Never use products containing silicone. Silicone strips away the protective barrier applied to the materials and will weaken sole adhesives, compromising both waterproofing and durability.
